We strongly prefer in-person pickup and no longer ship puppies. Pickups are scheduled by appointment, generally on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Deposit required
A deposit is required before pickup. We cannot hold a puppy without one.
When puppies are ready
Puppies go home after reaching the appropriate age and receiving veterinary clearance — generally around 10–12 weeks, depending on readiness.

Why we limit visits & handling
We don't operate like a pet store where visitors freely handle puppies. Young puppies have developing immune systems, and we limit exposure to outside traffic to reduce risks from diseases that can be carried on shoes, clothing, soil, and animals — including parvovirus. This policy exists to protect the health of your puppy and the other puppies in our care.
Reserved families receive updated puppy photos periodically as their puppy grows and gets ready to come home.

Pickup preparation checklist
A little preparation helps your puppy's transition go smoothly. Here's what we recommend — and what's required — before you arrive.
Puppy-proof your home
Set up a safe area and purchase the items on the puppy shopping list before pickup day.
Prepare a crate or playpen area
Have a comfortable, secure space ready for your puppy to settle into at home.
Bring a rectangular plastic clothes basket
Line it with potty pads and blankets for the ride home. Bring it in for your appointment.
Bring extra potty pads
In case of potty accidents or car sickness on the way home.
Food & water for long drives
If your drive is over 3 hours, bring bowls and the food/water listed on the shopping list.
Schedule your vet exam before pickup
Schedule for the same day or the day after pickup. Bring your vet's name, clinic, and appointment date/time to pickup.
Required at pickup
For your warranty, please bring the following to your pickup appointment:
- Your clothes basket (bring it in for your appointment)
- The name of the veterinarian/clinic performing your puppy wellness check
- The appointment date/time of your vet check (same day or day after pickup)
Your puppy will come vet-checked by our vet a few days before pickup, with a signed vet certificate, shot records, and up-to-date shots/worming. At your vet appointment, you'll only need the wellness check — no shots or wormings.
We no longer ship puppies
Toys and Teacups is no longer shipping puppies. Pickup is in-store (in-person) only, by appointment.
